Enrollment

Operating Schedule

PPNS is open year-round with separate schoolyear (August-May) and summer (June-July) programs.  We offer part-time enrollment schedules for flexibility.  However, in order to facilitate Kindergarten Readiness, it is our policy that all children enrolling into kindergarten the following year are required to enroll in our 5-day schedule at PPNS.

Our hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8:30-1:30pm with the option of Extended Care from 1:30-2:30pm for an additional fee.  Summer hours may differ for the months of June and July.

Campus Tour

Contact us to begin the process of enrollment by scheduling your child’s tour. Please allow 30-45 minutes for this, as we want to be sure to cover all the reasons that make PPNS a unique place for our students and families, as well as answer all of your questions or concerns.

Registration

PPNS has a rolling enrollment. We accept registration applications at any time. Contact us to obtain paperwork.

A non-refundable $50 registration fee is required to complete this waitlist process. Children must be 3 years old and less than 7 years old to enroll. Membership is open to all families.

Enrollment Limits and Priorities

The maximum number of children permitted by our license is 30 per day. The Membership Director monitors daily enrollment to ensure we don’t exceed our licensing limit and manages the waiting list of prospective students. In addition, we have a maximum number of children in each age group in order to balance the number of students per teacher. Thus, even though we have less than 30 total students your child may be placed on a waiting list because we are at capacity for a certain age group.

PPNS operates according to State and Federal law regarding the Americans with Disabilities Act. We make every effort to help children and families with special needs. We may ask our health care consultant for an evaluation of children with medical conditions that could affect their enrollment and participation in school activities. Please discuss special needs of your child or family with a Board member or a teacher.

PPNS gives enrollment priority to current members in good standing who wish to continue enrollment, to increase the number of days per week their child is enrolled, or to enroll a sibling. PPNS also gives enrollment preference to alumni families with children who were previously enrolled at PPNS for at least three months who left in good standing, (i.e. met all participation requirements and left no financial balance).
